Review: The best restaurant for expats in Shanghai

by Alex
12. August 2015

Are you keen to experience a different and really tasty meal? I was when I was an expat in Shanghai, and a lot of my friends felt that coming to Shanghai really was a great opportunity to try out a lot of different food.

In my home country (Sweden), the Japanese cuisine is best known for sushi. In Shanghai it is most famous for something called Teppanyaki, which can be experienced throughout the whole continent. There are several Teppanyaki restaurants in all price ranges downtown, but I have really found the best one for expats.

The restaurant mixes the traditional Teppanyaki concept with ingredients from the French cuisine.

In Hong Mei Road in Hong Qiao in western Shanghai, I had my best food experience in Shanghai so far. The price level is not too bad (100 RMB per person for six dishes) and the food is amazing.
