The building has a reception with great management that can help you to order and fix different things such as:
– Free water (drinking water)
– Cleaning lady (“ayi” in Chinese)
– Food
– Other services such as cleaning shirts etc.
The tennis court and the gym are both excellent, however they were a bit expensive (5000 RMB/year for a full membership card) – so I would really ask them to reduce this price a bit. You can find a restaurant, hair salon and a western supermarket JUST outside the compound gates, which made the life in Elite Garden very easy and convenient for me.
Great place to live and pretty good quality of my property – I am very grateful for the possibility to live here when I worked in Shanghai for more than half a year. I wasnt very happy with how the gym situation was in this apartment compound due to the fact that it was shut down two of my total six months in Shanghai – EVEN THOUGH I PAID FOR A MEMBERSHIP CARD.
However, I had a great time here. I really think it´s a great placement in Hongqiao. but if you work downtown or in pudong its a bit far away by metro or car.
